[May had crashed down from the ceiling after being chased by Envy, so she really didn't expect to end up within the leaves of a forest. Her first thought intentionally being 'I'm safe' with the second coming to a realization that this was.. not where she should be.

Cue the loud 'wah' of confusion. Getting up, she grasps the journal tossing it aside turning on the video function for anyone to see her flailing about.]

W-where am I? I.. This.. can't be Central! [Did she get knocked out and transported somewhere. Something bright behind her catches her eye causing her to turn around and see the wings.]

WINGS? I have wings...? [A beat pauses as she stares at them until a spot beside her moves catching her attention.]

Xiao-Mei! I'm glad I found you! [Cue snuggling with the small panda.] Did we die? If we were dead, you'd have wings too.. right?

[With May seeing the journal and picking it up, the feed clicks off.]

Kind of tiresome. When it's quiet, there's never enough to keep me occupied, and when it's busy, it's... insane.

This place is certainly one you must make the best of. People get taken by robots I've also heard.

Yeah, they do. I've had it happen- they make it hard to fight, and while they've got you, really weird stuff happens. It's not always bad, but when it is...

Can't you use alchemy to deconstruct them?

If you get a lucky shot in, yeah, but they're really good at sneaking up on people. And they've got some special tech that can disable abilities. Last time I got taken they took out my alchemy before I could do a damn thing.

Disable abilities? So it was like when you couldn't use your alchemy underneath Central. Isn't alchemy a science though, how can it be disabled unless the force that you use to use it is taken away?

Yeah, it's like that. I don't know how they can pull it off, but it works on everything. I bet it would affect your alkahestry, too.

[Affect her alkahestry?]

To disable alkahestry would be to disable the Dragon's Pulse; not an easy task. This place has some interesting abilities.

I think it's got more to do with disabling your ability to use the Pulse or whatever, but yeah, that's basically it.

E-eeh, disabling my ability to use the pulse.. [That isn't even remotely fair!]

So no one has been able to defeat them before?

I think some have. They got kidnapped by more of them later, though. They can outnumber and overwhelm whoever they want to capture.

[It's really frustrating, being that powerless, whether you're the one getting kidnapped or not.]

Resistance is a bit useless than.. That doesn't sound like something that I would want to go though. [or watch someone go though....]

[Edward makes a vague sound of agreement, quiet for a moment, then hastily shakes it off.]

Anyway, try not to overthink it. We're all in this together, so we'll deal with it that way, too.

[May gives him a blank blink for a moment before giving him a small smile.]

You're right, we should all work on getting along.

[Awesome, Xingese truce acquired. He wasn't expecting to start fighting with her, of course, but... well, better safe than bruised. Plus she's the resident expert of the information he's been looking for, so-]

[A favor? After a beat of thinking she nods.]

Once I'm settled in, you can ask me any favor.

[Learn alkahestry? Well, that was the reason that he followed her to Xing if she remembers it correctly.]

Are you sure, Edward-sama. It's fairly different from alchemy.

I know. Hohenheim was here before, and I started to learn from him, but we didn't get far. I want to keep it up, but I don't really understand a lot of the symbolism of the Xingese texts I found. Ling's been useful, but for the rest I think I need a real practitioner.

I don't know who Honhenheim is, but he must have much knowledge of alkahestry if he can teach it. [She bits her lip slightly at Ling's name. Obviously not comferable with hearing anything about him at the moment.] It must be fairly convenient that I arrived here than.

Hohenheim's my old man. [Which is certainly easier to admit than it used to be.] Supposedly he... learned alkahestry in Xing a long time ago.

Your father knew alkahestry? [Maybe she shouldn't question any more than that.] Than as a favor, I'll continue helping you learn it once I settle in.

[Well, that's one weight off his back. His alkahestry knowledge is still barebones and the concepts don't sink in as easily as alchemy, so having a teacher again will surely do him some good.]

[He can't imagine how much the Yao/Chang family relations will need mending first, but he does know how long it takes.]

[She gives him a small nod, she had a lot to figure out at least. She moves to cut off the feed but stops short.]
