Character

Name: May Chang
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Gender: Female
Age: 12-14; going to say 14 due to being close to the end of the series.
Time Period: After falling out of the ceiling from getting chased by Envy
Wing Color: Medium purple at the base turning a light shade of pink.
History: History wikia!

Personality:

Strengths:
alkahestry ;; She's able to transmute from a distance using Luceti's flow of energy. May creates a alkahestry circle by drawing a circle than tossing her kunais onto the points of it. For long distance alkahestry, it's close to same process except she also tosses kunais onto her distanced target. Healing alkahestry is mostly the same thing, only being able to heal where life energy is still circulating. An example of when she used her healing alkahestry is when she helped Riza Hawkeye's throat wound. May also explains that alkahesty can only be used to heal wounds that still have a flow, therefore a lost limb wouldn't be cured.

physical ;; Both May and Xiao-Mei were trained on how to do martial arts as they grew up. Allowing her to be amazingly good at it, to where she can take on several enemies at once by herself. This also makes her very flexible as she is able to toss enemies aside with her feet and do back-flips, cartwheels, etc. She has good strength in her feet and body with this. This comes with the normal limits of her strength. May is mainly seen using her martial arts in more defensive offense than complete offense. With her martial arts, she also uses her ability to toss kunais usually resulting in her than using alkahestry.

ki sensing ;; Just as the others from Xing, May is also able to sense the 'ki' from within a person. This was used in Fullmetal Alchemist to tell the different between a Homunculi and a normal person, along with non-living objects with just a soul inside (coughalcough). She was also able to sense large portions of energy coming from a area, such as where Father laid. Ki sensing will work the same as Ling and Ran Fan's does; as living energy. People that aren't human or have a different sense of ki would be noticeable, as people with no ki will be.

mental / emotional;; May has a strong-will and can be taken as both brave and determined. She won't back down to a strong enemy and get scared away by how powerful they are. Such as when she took on several enemies on at once with Scar. This is shown again later when she challenges Father despite the feeling she described that he gave off earlier. Though, that isn't as good as a example as she's from a little before that. Along with that, she has a good sense of responsibly along with being able to quickly figure out what to do in a moment. There isn't detail put into May's emotional strengths. She's fairly good at keeping herself together in situations that demand it. For the most part, seeing people getting hurt or killed doesn't have too much of a effect on her emotions or mentality. This is, of course, if the person isn't know to well. Such as all the times she saw Scar and the others fight. Something else that can be taken as a strength is that she doesn't really judge people by the words of others after meeting them, still calling Scar a nice person despite hearing people call him a murderer.

Weaknesses:
physical;; Despite her impressive martial arts, May still is of small-statue. Meaning that direct hits aren't good for her. Her body is too small to handle things like that. It isn't that hard to knock her out of service when she's in battle. A few hard hits would probably be enough. Such as when Gluttony slammed her into a slab of rock causing her to pass out the pain after a few moments. May is better as a distance fighter, where damage doesn't come as easily.

mental / emotional;; Most likely because she's a young age, May has quite a few weaknesses in this department. Losing Xiao-Mei, whom has been with her since a child, is taken extremely harsh by her. The one time that this happened in the canon, May fell into a fit of tears which turned into anger when she 'found out' what had happened. Beforehand though, just the mention of what could have happened lead her to cry enough to put out a fire. It was also a adorable reunion. Another weakness would be that she seems to be a slight sucker for helping others, deciding not to go back to Xing with Envy due to everyone's kindness and her want to make sure nothing happens to them. This could also be relayed as that she has a child-sense of naivety, meaning that with the right motivation she could get tricked into doing things that the other person wants. Such as bring Envy back to Central. May can also give a slight fit if one of her dreams is proved to be false, blaming the other person (aka Ed) instead of herself for thinking such a thing without meeting them. A quick way to break May down both mentality and emotionally is to ask her to do something that would be hard for her. Though she isn't from this point in canon, Al asking her to help him give Ed's arm back was this. It ended in her being horribly guilt-ridden to the point where she couldn't stop crying.

Samples (ALL samples must be set in Luceti-verse.)

First Person: This is a journal..., isn't it. It certainly looks like one. [s i g h] This was not where I expected to end up from falling from the ceiling. Perhaps I've been knocked unconscious and have not realized it yet. [No , that probably wasn't it.]

What is with this dress anyways, I've never worn anything like this before.. Except in my dreams with the false Edward-sama chasing me in the sunset. It would be Alphonse-sama now though, he isn't scary-faced like him. It appears that I haven't kept anything that is mine with me. I don't even have my kunais with me anymore. I'll have to get some more in order to preform my alkahestry.

[wait a second] Ack! This means that I'm defenseless in the middle of a forest in a dress that isn't even mine. Where is Scar-sama or Alphonse-sama when you need them.. Mrmmm, at least you are still with me, Xiao-Mei.

Third Person:
After falling from the ceiling with Envy, May did not expect to end up here. Wherever there was.. Sitting up, she took a glance around. A fall like that couldn't kill her, could it? It'd be really bad if she was in the AfterLife. Okay..., she had to remain calm; that was the best thing to do in a situation like this. Still, that was pretty hard. Glancing at her back, her eyes widened at the sight of the wings coming out of her back. It took her a moment to jump up in realization that they were actually attached to her back.

"W-what is this?" She stuttered, before taking another glance down at the white dress. This... was not what she was wearing. It was like something out of a dream. Okay, there was one thing to do in order to solve this. Pinch yourself. A small yelp noise came from her mouth as she pinched her arm as had as she could. So she wasn't dreaming, and apparently not dead. Unless pain could be felt in the afterlife.

"Xiao-Mei?" She called, an almost immediate reaction for noticing that the panda wasn't at her side. Both fear and worry welled up in May's stomach as she took another glance around. Only to be relieved by the sight of the panda sitting on a odd journal-like object. Scooping up her panda, May hugged her before picking up the book.

"Do you know what this is?" Of course she didn't, why would she. May blinked at it for a moment before collecting her thoughts on all that she's learned so far. She's in a forest, with wings, and a odd white dress on. From the looks of it none of her supplies were with her either. This wasn't a ideal situation. "At least we got away from Envy." She spoke, though relief wasn't one of the emotions she was feeling. She'd hoped to get one of the philosophers stones that were located in those weird doll things. On the bright side, she had her panda. Probably one of the only things keeping her sane right now. Not to mention that bad ki that was located within Central could no longer be felt anymore. So, she had one clue as to where she was. Not in Amestria, nor in the desert. Just how did she get here....

Really, it seemed like there was only one thing to do. "Shall we take a look around." If anything, maybe they could find someone to tell them where they were. Or if she actually had died. Well, at least flapping her wings was pretty fun. Beginning to walk, May re-glanced at the book at she was carrying in her arms. She had forgotten that she had picked it up. While she was walking, she could always check to see if it contained any information. Opening up, May glanced inside. This wasn't your ordinary book, now was it..

"Xi-," She was cut off by the feel of something pulling on her dress's strap. Glancing around, May noticed what Xiao-Mei was pointed out to her. Beyond the trees ahead of her was a town, probably filled with people to question on where she was. Closing the book again, she began heading towards one of the buildings. Maybe now they could get some answers! She'd look more into the interesting book afterwards.
